Sensex up 177pts; ONGC down 1%
The Sensex remains firm; it’s up 177 points at 17,037. The Nifty is also steady at 5052, up 40 points.
Hindalco has gained 4.9% to Rs 183.50, Reliance Infra is up 4.6% to Rs 1,420. Jaiprakash Associates is also up 4.3% to Rs 257.
Satyam, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, L&T and DLF are up over 2% each.
ONGC is down 1% to Rs 1,018, Hindustan Unilever has lost 0.85% to Rs 245. The other Sensex losers are Bharti, Ranbaxy and Wipro
